A Blogger's Masterpiece

This is not a recent video, but I just learned how to add video to my blog and this is one of the funniest videos I have taken.  It was Joey's 3rd birthday party and my kids watch way too much Disney Channel.

A Good Walk Ruined.

Tommy and Joey started golf lessons this summer with their uncle Brandon.  Brandon is an assistant pro at Ben Lomond Golf Course and started teaching them how to drive for show and putt for dough.  I told Brandon that I really didn't want them wagering.

On our way to Yellowstone, we stopped in Idaho Falls and had lunch by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' temple.

We also took a break and checked out the brand new temple in Rexburg, Idaho.

This field is directly across the street to the east of the Rexburg Temple.

Yellowstone Trip part 3

Tommy and Joey loved the geysers.  It is too bad we don't have any video footage of the wind blowing the pamphlet out of Tommy's hands, and my subsequent adventure off the boardwalk and toward the geyers to retrieve it.

Yellowstone Trip part 2

We saw lots of bison and traffic was halted two different times because they own the roads.

As this one came closer, I was "whisper yelling" at Tommy and Joey to stop being so noisy because the last thing I wanted was dents in my new car from its horns.  The boys were really amazed at how big it was.  The following video was taken by Tommy.

As you can tell, it was Tommy's first time behind the lens.  Next time he will have had a lot more practice.

Yellowstone Trip part 1

At the end of August, the boys and I took a short trip up to Yellowstone National Park.  It was really short.  We left on Friday morning and got home on Saturday around 8pm.  The boys loved the geysers and "mud pots".  They made me promise that next time we visit, we will stay at least longer than it takes to drive up and back.  I tried to get us there quicker, but just outside of Rexburg, Idaho, a friendly highway patrol officer reminded me that I should not be in such a hurry.
